Nominations for Member of the Year

We have revived an honor that was given to the member who was the person that provided the most to our chapter.  The Member of the Year does not have to be a Board Member.  You may nominate any active member of the Chapter.

The votes will be tallied and we will make the announcement of the award at the first tasting in January of 2015.  If you have not made a nomination for Member of the Year, we ask that you take a few moments and do so.  The link below will take you directly to the survey.  This is a safe site, and does not collect any personal information from your computer.

Nominations of Board Members for the 2015 Season

Please take a few moments to nominate those that you think might best serve our Chapter in the various board positions.  You may nominate more than one person for each position.  The vote will be held at the November tasting, and the newly elected members will begin their terms in January of 2015.

Reminders

Some reminders during this busy holiday.  The Regional Picnic and the vote for Member of the Year.

The annual AWS Regional Picnic will be held at the Massa Harbison Park 1500 Stevenson Blvd, New Kensington, PA  (former Girl Scout Little House) on 1500 Stevenson Blvd. (also known as the Rt. 56 bypass) in New Kensington, PA. on Saturday, August 2^nd from Noon to 6pm.   As usual, attendees are asked to bring either an appetizer or dessert, and also as usual,  prizes will be offered for the the top entries in each category.  Wine and main course will be provided.

We want your votes!

The Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Wine Society is reviving a past award for Member of the Year, and we want your votes.  Many of our members contribute time and effort to making our tastings the best around. We’d like to recognize their efforts.
