The AWS Pittsburgh Chapter invites you back to PYCO School of Music's Concert Hall on, Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.
Because
Portugal’s wine culture developed in relative isolation, many grape
varieties do not grow anywhere else in the world. If you don’t recognize
the grape variety on a Portuguese wine label, it’s a good thing. There
are over 250 indigenous varieties and a few imports (including Alicante
Bouschet) that have adapted well to the Portuguese landscape (they are
delicious). To many wine experts, Portugal is the last frontier of wine
in Western Europe; there is still so much to be tasted and explored.
Lucky for us Deb Mortillaro of Palate Partners and Dreadnought Wines is
headed to Portugal in the coming days to return with exciting
discoveries to share. This program is not to be missed.
Deadline to RSVP is Oct. 2, 2023.
